GEORGE SHELLEY, JOSH CUTHBERT, JAYMI HENSLEY and JJ HAMBLETT - who release their debut single Carry You on June 2 - are keeping their fingers crossed for a No1.
And George vowed to LIA NICHOLLS that he’ll get naked in a bath of beans if it does.
Your first single is out soon, have you told your family and friends to buy multiple copies?
George: Not sure about multiple but they will all be buying it.
What will you do to celebrate if you get to No1?
George: We’ll have a massive party - and I’ve said I’ll sit in a bath of beans.
Will you really do that?
George: Yes definitely, be pictured and everything, you have my word.
You’ve recently moved in with each other in new pads in London - how’s it all going?
George: Yeah, amazing. Me and Josh are living together and so are JJ and Jaymi, who have turned into husband and wife.
They’re like my nan and grandad. When we get in the car in the morning, they’re like, “Have you got this, have you got that?”
Who is most likely to throw a hissy fit?
George: It depends on the situation. If it’s over food, definitely Jaymi. He rages over food.
Did you have much say about what was going to be your first single?
George: Yes. We had the choice of a few songs but it was the one we thought was the most catchy. It was the one we were all walking round singing.
Have you been doing your own food shopping or does it get done for you?
George: No, we do it. We go to the supermarket, we like a trip to the supermarket.
Who’s your ideal man or woman?
JJ: EVA LONGORIA would be nice.
What are you most looking forward to doing this year?
Xcited ... the lads are looking forward to playing festivals this summer Fame Flynet
JJ: We can’t wait to play the festivals.
Who are you most looking forward to meeting or hanging out with?
JJ: It will be good to catch up with JESSIE J, THE WANTED and LAWSON.
Did you know NATHAN SYKES (The Wanted) had an operation to save his voice last week?
JJ: Yes we heard and we wish him a speedy recovery. No singer wants to go through what he’s going through. It must be tough.
When was the last time you cried?
Jaymi: On Saturday, to Britain’s Got Talent. The shadow dancers ATTRACTION. I had a little tear.
You mean, you didn’t cry watching Margaret Thatcher’s funeral then?
Jaymi: No, I didn’t watch it. People were being really awful about her on Twitter and I didn’t want to get involved.
I just think she’s someone’s mum.
Did you have an opinion on her?
Jaymi: None either way. I don’t know anything about politics.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve been sent by a fan?
Jaymi: Not the strangest, but the coolest was from a girl in South Africa. She sent me a load of South African chocolate and sweets. I’d say her name but it was really funky so I wouldn’t want to get it wrong.
What’s your signature dish?
Jaymi: Domino’s pizza. If pushed, sausage and mash — Tesco’s Finest.
But forget cooking, JJ hasn’t found the iron, the hoover or the washing machine yet. He doesn’t know how to use any of them.
And when he goes to the toilet and the loo roll runs out, rather than replacing it, he’ll just go to a different toilet. Very lazy JJ.
Describe your ideal night.
Jaymi: I love staying in so it’s getting some good food and watching a film chilling with my boyfriend or having friends round. We’ve got a nice flat to have friends round.
Who’s on your playlist at the moment?
Josh: CHARLIE BROWN, CHRIS BROWN, RUDIMENTAL.
Who’s the most famous person in your phone book?
Josh: Probably JOE HART. We text a fair bit as we had a good night out at a casino in Manchester. It was a laugh, he’s a really nice guy.
If you hadn’t made it on The X Factor, would you have auditioned for The Voice?
Josh: I don’t know, maybe... ermmmm... it’s only been around for a little while so probably not.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given recently?
Josh: To remain positive and optimistic as that’s the response you’re likely to get back.
Can you tell me a joke, please?
Josh: Where would you find a dog with no legs? Where you left it.
