Louis: ‘Tulisa is in love!’

Louis: ‘Tulisa is in love!’

Louis: ‘Tulisa is in love!’ What a dreary Monday! We’ve lost the entertainment juggernaut that IS Rylan Clark and it’s been raining cats and dogs all day.

On days like these, there are only three things that can raise a smile. A king size box of Krispy Kremes, an unlimited supply of Channing Tatum movies and a chat with gossip guy, Louis Walsh.

As ever, the long-standing Judge is on funny form and full of cheeky comments about Tulisa, Caroline et al.

Here, The X Factor stalwart spills the beans on seeing Tulisa starkers (oops!) and setting Union J up with fans, (yes, please!). Enjoy, it’s one helluva read...

Union J were ruddy brill on Saturday’s show...

Union J came out of nowhere on Saturday night and delivered! The guys really stepped it up and became a proper boyband. They’ve honed their craft and have grown into proper men.

Do you still think Chris Maloney is a bit naff?

Christopher is a good singer but he doesn’t look like a popstar. He’ll always be a cruise ship singer to me. On the other hand, Jahmene and James look like bona fide entertainers.

What makes Jahmene and James so special?

They’ve both got the whole package; stage presence, charisma, shedloads of talent... They’re the real deal. What you get backstage is the same as what you see on screen with those two.

Do you think Union J could be the next One Direction?

There is room in the market for another big boyband. Union J are one of the most exciting bands I’ve worked with in quite a while. These guys tick all the boxes. I genuinely think we’re looking at the next big thing.

Any plans to set ‘em up with any celeb popstars?

I’d like to see them date non-celebrities. Some ‘real’ girls who’ll treat them well and help keep them grounded. They’re such a pleasure to work with - they’re good guys.

Tulisa seems to have a twinkle in her eye...

I think she’s in love. I can tell - she looks really happy and is letting me get away with murder on the show! I enjoy winding her up by calling her a WAG. It’s such a shame to have lost Ella but Tulisa has lots going on in her career with her album and so forth. She’s one busy bee!

Have you heard from the big boss of late?

Simon chatted with me a few weeks ago. His hands are pretty full at the moment with the American X Factor. He hasn’t been interfering with what we’re doing over here - he’s letting us get on with it.

What’s been the biggest shock so far this series?

Ha! Walking in on Tulisa with no clothes on. I sauntered into her dressing room and she was totally naked. That gave me quite a shock! She looks great though, it has to be said.

Any goss? James told us he fancies Caroline Flack...

Hmmm... I’ve spied them flirting on Xtra Factor. They’d make a cute couple, he certainly looks like her type. My only concern is that at 24, he’s a little too old for her.

Jazz hands

First rule of showbiz? Razzle-dazzle them with some wacky arm movements. Works every time.

Pink to make the boys wink

She’s sexy, saucy and sha-mazing. Nicole works that cute fuschia knit to prefection and reminds us why we fancy her so much.

Bad news

Union J were distraught and distressed to learn that Louis would be wearing THAT polo neck again.

Glamour nanna

Awww! Christopher Maloney’s devoted nan NEVER takes off that t-shirt. Now that's what we call dedication.

Best buds

James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas are joined by a backing singer; a rather ominous looking teddy bear.

High five!

Nicole and Tulisa were relieved not to have worn the same outfits. Don’t cha just hate it when that happens?

Rylan Clark: ‘I knew my time was up!’

Rylan Clark: ‘I knew my time was up!’

Rylan Clark: ‘I knew my time was up!’Today is a dark, dark day at XF HQ.

Our favourite Essex eccentric has left the competition and we feel beyond bereft.

In fact, the last time we felt this miserable was on Christmas day when Santa failed to deliver the Barbie 3-story Dreamhouse we’d set our sights on. Yup, things are THAT bad.

Reem-arkable Rylan has been a joy to watch these past eight weeks. From the brilliant banter with Barlow, THAT Jedi snood he wore at Judges’ houses to those pop-tastic performances - he's been the consummate showman since day one!

This morning, we caught up with the fabulous fashionista to talk about his plans for the future (we predict world domination) and why he had an inkling he’d be leaving last night, (thanks to that infamous psychic of his).

Rylan, we’ll miss you and your fake tan. A mahoosive thank you for the music, madness and magic.

You were pretty ill last week...

I’d been really ill with a chest infection all week. I felt rough as old boots. I had a runny nose, a cold sore - the whole shebang! I even felt too poorly to have a spray tan - you know things are dire when that happens!

Were you pleased with your performances on Saturday?

I loved doing that swan dive. I was bricking it, though. The thought of it all going Pete Tong and me breaking both my legs did cross my mind. Imagine leaving the show on crutches?

How do you REALLY feel about being eliminated?

In a sense, I feel relieved. I knew my time was up. I could feel it in my bones. I’ve had a good innings. I met a Spice Girl, flirted with Robbie Williams and got to wear some outrageous outfits.

Did you enjoy the whole experience?

I’ve had the time of my life and made friends that I'll keep forever. My closest friends are Lucy, James and Jahmene but I love them all.

What about Chris?

No comment! Nah, I wish him no ill will. I’m not a spiteful person. If you put out positivity and kindness, you get it back tenfold.

Do you think Gary is to blame for you leaving?

Absolutely not! If anything, our weekly quips at one another probably kept me in the competition. Our banter was entertaining to watch and I secretly really enjoyed it. We both gave it our all and I take my hat off to Gazza, he is the King of one-liners.

How is your glamorous mum?

To get in the mood for ABBA, I took my mum to see Mamma Mia. We had an absolute blast. Now I’m out of the show, I can’t wait to treat her to a shopping trip and beauty treatments in the West End.

What’s next?

Besides singing, I’d love to dabble in fashion and fake tan. I’d love to launch my own shade. It would be a deeper shade of brown, David Dickinson all the way!

Anything else?

I’m performing at G-A-Y with The Spraggan next Saturday. Mark my words, we’ll tear it up Sprylan style! I’m also planning on getting Nicole to come to Essex for a Clark Sunday roast dinner with all the trimmings. I wonder if she’s tried Yorkshire puddings? I’ll also be consulting my trusty psychic - I want her to tell me what’s next in store. I’m all about crystal balls and swinging pendulums!

Lolz! Any messages for your fans?

I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone for accepting me the way I am. The public support has been invaluable. If it was possible, I’d track down everyone who voted for me and give them a big smacker on the lips by way of thanks.

Where’s her Umbrella?

We always have a brolly good time whenever Rihanna appears on the show.

Megawatt glamour

Shame our four Judges never make any effort when it comes to dressing up.

Bromance

Trying to pick out a favourite member of Union J gives us brain-freeze so we won’t even bother.

Get in there, my son!

We’re not lip-readers but this is exactly what we reckon James Arthur is saying here.

Yes!

Chris Maloney was delighted to learn that he’d be having cheese toasties for dinner.

Swept away

Rylan gives his leading lady a twirl. And doesn’t she looks a bit all white in that gorge gown?

Tulisa: ‘I’d love to set James Arthur up with one of my mates!’

Tulisa: ‘I’d love to set James Arthur up with one of my mates We HEART Tulisa.

As our number one girl crush; the stunning singer can always be relied upon for her frankness, foxiness and err, funniness, (we're all about rhyming at XF HQ).

As the only Judge left in the competition without any acts, we wanted to get the skinny on who she wants to win and what she really makes of 80s balladeer, Chris Maloney.

Here, the original Female Boss lifts the lid on how Ella’s doing, why she finds James Arthur sexy and her thoughts on Louis’ cheeky comments.

Is Ella okay?

Ella’s doing brilliantly. I chatted with her today and she was in good spirits. I was really pleased to hear about her gig with Olly Murs at G-A-Y. She performed there last Saturday night. She looked great!

Your hair looks lush straightened...

It’s really quick to style. Straighteners are more straight-forward than styling tongs. It makes a nice change to style my hair straight.

Do you and Nicole compete with one another in the fashion-stakes?

No way! I couldn’t care less about these ‘fashion wars.’ Nicole always looks stunning, there’s no rivalry whatsoever between us. I like her.

What about Louis’ cheeky on air comments?

Louis irritated me a little bit with his contastant banter on Saturday night. You’ve got to take him with a pinch of salt. He’s a regular little wind-up merchant, that’s why we love him!

‘Fess up! Who would you like to win?

I want either James or Jahmene to win. They both have lots of soul and fire. James got his sexy on last weekend. I’m sure the girls at home would’ve been very pleased with his performance. He’s such a grounded, nice guy. I’d happily set him up with one of my mates. I can see why he’s popular with women.

Do you still find Christopher’s sound dated?

I’d rather not comment on Chris. The more I criticise him, the more people seem to keep him in. It would be great to see James or Jahmene win this. I’m rooting for them.

Any dream duets you’d like to see at the Final?

I’d love to see James duet with Sting. I’d like to see Jahmene perform with a musical heavyweight like Diana Ross, it would be mind-blowing.

James Arthur: ‘I’m not a womaniser, I’m looking for a girlfriend!’

James Arthur: ‘I’m not a womaniser, I’m looking for a girlfriend!’Blimey! Saturday’s show should’ve come with a health warning.

After James Arthur’s steamy performance of Let’s Get It On, we were left with heart palpitations and an elevated body temperature of epic proportions. In fact, such was his hotness that we needed to cool down by taking an ice-cold shower. Brrr!

Fortunately, we’ve since pulled ourselves together and decided to interview this fine specimen of manhood on your behalf, (you're welcome!).

Here, the talented singer and all-round fittie lifts the lid on ballads, boobs and being a hit with the laydees.

Did you enjoy Saturday’s show?

I did, it was nice to do a fun, light-hearted song. I could feel the love in studio. I took a risk by being so raunchy. Serenading Nicole and Tulisa in the way that I did could have looked seriously tacky and cheesy. Hopefully, I styled it out.

You sooo did!

Thanks, there’s a fine line between being cheesy and making the song credible. It was a hard song to execute, I just hope I did it justice.

The Prof said he’s a mahoosive fan...

Professor Green is amazing. To get support from someone of his stature means so much. He’s phenomenally talented and really respected in the industry. I’d absolutely love to collaborate with him on some music. It would be great to sit down and write some music together. I really look up to him.

How do you keep it real?

I stay true to who I am as an artist. If I didn’t connect with a song, I wouldn’t perform it.

Were you shocked to be in the bottom two the other week?

I’m not the conventional X Factor contestant so I wasn’t surprised to find myself in the bottom two. I’ve bounced back from it - I didn’t want to let the people who voted for me down by being a misery guts. I’m in such a priviliged position and don’t take a second of it for granted.

You’ve been papped with loads of girls recently...

I’m focusing on the competition at the moment. I’ve had a few snogs so far, I’ll leave it at that. When this is all over, I fully intend on pursuing some of the offers I’ve had.

Are you a player?

God, no! I prefer being in a relationship. I’m a serial monogamist and die-hard romantic. I want a girl to look after me. Physically, I like brown eyes, belly button piercings and medium-sized boobs. Although, breasts are brilliant - regardless of their size! I’d say I’m more of a boobs than legs man. On a mental level, I’m looking for someone who is kind, creative and funny.

Good to know! Ever serenaded a girlf?

I have serenaded ladies I’ve been in love with before. I’ve written girls songs. It’s how I used to get girls. My guitar has seen me through lots of relationships!

Who is your fave Finalist?

Jahmene always sticks out. He is a world-class performer. He loves gospel music so a lot of the time he has to compromise by singing songs he’d never normally perform. He does it all with such class.

How is Rylan?

I felt sorry for Rylan. Week after week, he took the blame for all the favourite Finalists going home. It wasn’t his fault and it’s a testament to his good character, that he didn’t snap and throw a hissy fit. He’s a strong character and I think he’s got a bright future ahead of him.

Chris Maloney: ‘Tulisa’s comments hurt the most’

Chris Maloney: ‘Tulisa’s comments hurt the most’

Chris Maloney: ‘Tulisa’s comments hurt the most’He’s been nicknamed the karaoke king and accused of churning out more cheese than a dairy.

Who are we babbling on about? Why, Chris!

This afternoon, we caught up with the lovely Liverpudlian to talk about why he thinks Union J are better than One Direction and how his Scouse spirit has been seeing him through.

We enjoyed your performances on Saturday’s show...

Thanks! It was dead good, I really enjoyed myself. The Judges often criticise my performances for being dated. It felt good to do something slightly out of my comfort zone.

Yeah, we loved the floor dancing and leather jacket...

It was nice to get the Rylan treatment in terms of the set and budget. I was delighted with the choreography Brian came up with. It was also great to ditch my usual suit for a leather jacket.

The Judges always seem to give you mixed reviews...

Yes, it’s always a mixture of good and bad. I try to use criticism I receive constructively. Tulisa’s comments hurt me the most. She’s doesn't seem interested in me. Although, it may just be a case of sour grapes now that Ella has gone.

What about the other Judges?

I love Nicole, she’s always very positive with her feedback. Gary has been a huge support. He’s not just a mentor, he’s a friend.

If you make it to the Final, are you happy about it being held up north?

If I get to the Final, it will be great. I think the audience will be lovely and really supportive in Manchester. I may get booed here but I don't think that will happen up north.

Who are you closest to in the competition?

Jamie out of Union J. He’s a top guy. I love those guys - I think they could be the next big boyband. They’re totally different to One Direction. One Direction aren’t really my cup of tea. Union J, however, are my cup of tea!

We must ask, how’s your nan?

Nan is great, she’s not paying any attention to any of the nonsense out there. I’d like to thank her and all my wonderful fans for believing in me and voting for me week after week.
